Bronx, N.Y. – The Lehman College men's basketball team defeated Hunter College, 66-52, in the final regular-season game for the Lightning. The victory was the team's 13
th straight and pushed their overall record to 21-4 and 15-1 in conference. Prior to tip off,

The Hawks took an early lead in the game, going up 14-6 at the 14:37 mark. Lehman fought back and tied the game at 18-18 on a Mitchell trifecta at 8:20. From there, the Lightning used an 8-0 run to take a 26-18 lead. The points came from Hernandez (four) Marcial (two) and
Gabe Jeffers (two). Mitchell pushed the advantage to 11 points with a three-pointer at 4:02. The largest lead of the half, 16 points came on a Marcial tip-in at 1:03. Lehman led at the break, 37-22.
Around the ten minute mark of the second half, back-to-back threes from
Paris Underwood and Bennett gave Lehman its largest lead, 24 points, at 59-35. Lehman went on to win, 66-52.
In the game, Hernandez shot 5-of-6 for 14 points. Utate scored 12. Every player who was eligible got in the game.
The Lehman College men's basketball team earned a bye to the semi-final of the CUNYAC championship where they host the winner of the Hunter-John Jay matchup. The game will take place at CCNY on February 20.
