Jersey City, N.J. - The Lehman College baseball team dropped its fourth-straight game, a 15-3 setback to New Jersey City University, in a game played in Jersey City on Tuesday. The team is now 14-18 on the year.
The Gothic Knights got on the board first with a pair of runs in the first. Lehman tied the score at 2-all by plating two in the second. Mark Vargas reached on an NJCU error and was on second base when Natanael Toribio blasted a two-run-homer over the wall in left field. The Lightning added a run in the sixth as well. David Rodriguez singled and stole second. He reached third on a Toribio base hit and scored on a sacrifice fly from Namir Garcia. NJCU went on to win, 15-3.
Jose Albrincole was charged with the loss and dropped to 3-3 on the year. Sal Ventola pitched a scoreless inning and struck out a batter.
The Lehman College baseball team returns to action on Thursday, April 26, when they host Western Connecticut at 4PM.
