Jamaica, N.Y. – The Lehman College men's tennis team picked up a CUNYAC conference victory with a 6-3 triumph over York on Saturday in Queens. The team improved to 4-4 overall and 1-4 in CUNYAC play, while the Cardinals dropped to 0-3 and 0-3.
Lehman swept all three doubles matches. The top pairing of Strudwick and Vasos won 8-3. Forte teamed with Aiman Hassan to take their match, 8-1. Finally, Brian Persuad and Ramsey Tapia prevailed at third doubles, 8-6.
The Lightning took the top three flights in singles play. Michael Forte won his match 4 and 4, Jason Struwick prevailed 6-0, 6-3 and Ioannis Vasos put in extra work, emerging victorious 6-1 and 7-5.
The Lehman College men's tennis team returns to action on Tuesday, April 10 when they host Farmingdale State at 4:30 PM.
