Karla Ruiz scored twice to lead the Lehman College women's soccer team to an 8-0 blanking of hosts Medgar Evers, in first CUNYAC match-up for both sides this season, at Kingsborough Field on Wednesday. The Lightning improve to 3-1-1 record, 1-0 CUNYAC, while Cougars fall to 0-3 overall and 0-1 in conference play.

Marissa Soriano opened Lehman's scoring spree in the second minute-mark. Then, Ruiz had two consecutive tallies in a span of six minutes (11
th, 17
th) to increase the Lightning's advantage to 3-0. Junior midfielder Jessica Chacha made it 4-0 just before halftime.
