The Lehman College men's basketball team fell to Baruch 82-55 in a CUNYAC contest played at the ARC on the Baruch campus. The Lightning now stand at 5-9 overall and 3-4 in conference play. The Bearcats are 13-3 and a perfect 7-0 in the CUNYAC.
Isaiah Geathers led the Lightning with 16 points and Miguel Haboosh added 10. Â
The Lightning jumped on top 4-0 in the early going with baskets by Raheim Grant and Geathers but the Bearcats answered with a 15-2 run to take a lead they would never surrender. Â Baruch extended the lead to 36-23 at the half.
The Lightning were never able to cut the lead into single digits in the second half. Â
The Lightning struggled offensively only hitting 19 of 54 (.352). Â
Before the game Lehman Hall of Famer and long time Baruch College coach Ray Rankis was honored. Â A banner was raised to honor the late Rankis in the ARC Arena.
Lehman returns to action on Wednesday as they host the Beavers of the CCNY. Â Tip-off is slated for 7 PM.
