Newark, N.J. – The Lehman College men's volleyball team, under the helm of
Wolfgang Lucena, opened its 2019 season with consecutive losses to New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) and hosts Rutgers-Newark at The Golden Dome on Saturday.
The Lightning (0-2 record) began the day dropping three straight sets (25-5, 25-11, 25-11) to the Rutgers' Scarlet Raiders (1-1 mark). Opp –

Will Eschenbach all had two kills each for Lehman, while setter
Tairou Diaman dished out six assists.
Lehman concluded the day losing a three set-match (25-10, 25-9, 25-6) to NJIT's Highlanders (2-4 ledger). Eschenbach had three kills for the Lightning, while Diaman added four assists and two digs.
Lehman continues its road swing on Tuesday (January 22
nd) when it visits St. Joseph's College-LI in a non-conference match-up in Patchogue, N.Y. at 7 pm.
