Bronx, N.Y. – The Lehman College women's basketball team dropped a 65-48 CUNYAC encounter to visiting York College-NY on Friday evening at The APEX Main Gym. The Lightning fall to 1-18 record and 1-10 in CUNYAC, while the Cardinals improve to 4-16 ledger and 3-8 in conference play.
After trailing 20-11 at the end of the first period, Lehman battled back in the second quarter outscoring York 15-8 to be down by only two points at the intermission. However, in the third period, the Cardinals went on a 23 to 11 run to pull away for the victory.
Forward
Eriadna Vasquez led the Lightning with a career-high 21 points, while grabbing 10 rebounds for her fourth double-double of the season. Forward Selima Sangare also added 13 points in the loss.
Lehman continues CUNYAC play next Tuesday as it travels to take on Brooklyn College with tipoff set for 5 pm.
