Bronx, N.Y. – Four Lehman College athletic teams will see action on Saturday as men's and women's cross country squads along with men's and women's soccer sides compete.
Women's Soccer Visits John Jay
In a battle for first place and two undefeated teams in CUNYAC Standings, the Lightning (3-9; 3-0 CUNYAC) visit the Bloodhounds of John Jay College (8-6; 3-0 CUNYAC) at Field 10 in Randall's Island, N.Y. on Saturday at 11 am. Fans can follow all of the action online via

Both squads, whom have already secured its berths to the postseason, have not seen action since last Saturday (October 12
th), when Lehman dropped a 5-0 road encounter to former CUNYAC opponent, College of Staten Islands, while John Jay defeated non-conference rival Wesley College, 2-1, in Purchase, N.Y.
The Lightning have a 7-3 head-to-head record against the Bloodhounds, since 2012, however, John Jay has won two of the last three encounters. In the previous meeting took place on Oct. 20, 2018 at South Field, with the visiting Bloodhounds winning 2-1 in sudden death overtime after a 40-year free kick goal that just got past the Lightning's goalkeeper

After securing their 11

A win by Lehman over John Jay can lock down a first round bye for the Lightning along with hosting a semifinal game during CUNYAC Championships next month. Lehman is coming off 1-0 overtime victory against visiting Baruch College last Saturday (Oct. 12
th) at South Field. Midfielder
Christian Rodriguez notched the game-winner. Meanwhile, John Jay dropped a 1-0 decision at home to CUNYAC rival Hunter College this past Wednesday (Oct. 16
th).
The Lightning have won nine of 11 head-to-head encounters against the Bloodhounds, since 2009. In the previous meeting, Lehman was awarded a 1-0 forfeit victory after the original result on September 19, 2018, of 4-3 in favor of hosts John Jay, was reversed due to an ineligible player. Prior to that encounter, both sides faced off on Oct. 7, 2017, at South Field with midfielder

Cross Country Squads Travel To Long Island
For a second consecutive week, both (men's and women's) Lightning squads will travel to Long Island as this Saturday they compete at 20
th Annual St. Joseph's College Invitational at Sunken Meadow State Park starting at noon
.
The last time Lehman competed at St. Joseph's-LI Invitational was on Oct. 15, 2016, as women ran the 5000 meter course, while the men ran an 8000 meter loop. The women's side finished in 16th place, while the men's squad took 17
th position.
Lehman is coming off a strong performance at Golden Eagle Invitational, also hosted by St. Joseph's-LI, last weekend.
Glory Odeh led the Lightning to an 11th place finish at the invitational after completing women's 5K loop in 19:33.7, while taking fifth position overall. Meanwhile,
Max Dell-Thibodeau was the top male performer completing the 8K course in 28:11.6.
