New York, NY – In a battle for first place on Randall's Island this morning the Lehman College women's soccer team came up short, falling to John Jay 2-0. With the loss the Lightning fall to 3-1 in conference play while the Bloodhounds remain unbeaten at 4-0.
A pair of first half goals was all that the Bloodhounds needed to secure the victory. Medina Mulic scored on a breakaway in the 40
th minute off a through ball from Katie Healy. Two minutes later the duo connected again but this time it was Healy who scored off an assist from Mulic. The Bloodhounds dominated in shots 26-0. Lehman net minder
Rebecca Gritz was called on to make 13 saves.
Lehman is 3-10 overall while John Jay stands at 9-6.
Lehman returns home Wednesday night to face Ramapo. Kick-off is slated for 5 PM.
