Lehman Basketball Squads In Action On Saturday; Cross Country At NCAA Regionals

Bronx, N.Y. – Several Lehman College athletic teams will be in action on Saturday as both basketball squads conclude their respective non-conference tournaments, while the cross country sides will compete at the NCAA Regionals.

Men's Basketball Meet Kings-PA At Susquehanna Tournament
The Lightning (0-1) will face off against King's College-PA in the consolation game of Susquehanna Trailways Tip-Off Tournament at OW Houts Gymnasium in Selinsgrove, Pa. with tip off set for 1 pm.

Lehman is coming off a 54-85 loss to Rowan University (2-0) on Friday to open the Susquehanna Tourney.  Guard Tommy Batista came off the bench and scored 15 points and grabbed seven rebounds for the Lightning in the loss to the Prof.
 
Women's Hoopsters Square Off Against Wesley During Hyatt Place Tourney
The Lightning (0-1) will square off against Wesley in the consolation game during the Hyatt Place Tipoff Tournament at William M. Anderson Center in Fredericksburg, Va. set for 12 pm.  Fans can follow all the action online via live stats and live stream:

Lehman opened the four-team tourney on Friday with an 29-110 loss against hosts University of Mary Washington.  Guard Shanya Gonzalez scored eight points to lead the Lightning.
 

Lightning Runners At NCAA Regionals In Canton, N.Y.
The women's cross country team along with Max Dell-Thibodeau, representing the men's squad, will compete at the NCAA Division III Atlantic Regionals, hosted by St. Lawrence University, at Ronald C. Hoffmann Course in Canton, N.Y. on Saturday.  Men's Race is set for 11 am, while the women commence at noon.

The Lightning women are led by Glory Odeh, who captured first place at 6K course (25:34.1) during the CUNYAC Cross Country Championships in Van Cortlandt Park last month.  Also at the same CUNYAC Championships, Dell-Thibodeau captured a silver medal during the 8 K men's course in 29:48.3, only ten seconds behind the eventual winner.
