Bronx, N.Y. – The Lehman College women's basketball team dropped an 88-47 CUNYAC encounter to visiting John Jay College at The APEX Main Gym on Tuesday evening. The Lightning fall to 0-6 overall record and 0-1 in CUNYAC, while the Bloodhounds improve to 3-5 mark and 1-0 in conference play.
Two minutes into the game, Lehman had a 2-0 lead, until John Jay went on a 17 to 6 run to take nine-point advantage heading to the second quarter. The Bloodhounds continued to outscore the Lightning in the next three periods while shooting 42 percent from the field in the victory.

Shanya Gonzalez scored a career-high 14 points while grabbing seven rebounds for the Lightning, while forward
Eriadna Vasquez had a 'double-double' with 14 points and 16 boards.
Lehman is back in action on Friday with another CUNYAC match-up at home against York College-NY with tip-off set for 5:30 pm.
