Bronx, N.Y. – The Lehman College men's volleyball team defeated visiting Yeshiva University, 3-1 (22-25, 25-21, 25-20, 25-22) in a non-conference affair held at The APEX Main Gym on Sunday. The Lightning improve to 3-7 ledger, while the Maccabees drop to 1-2 mark.
Yeshiva opened the match winning the first set, which ended a 14 consecutive game victories by Lehman in head-to-head encounters.
Afterwards, the Lightning won three straight sets to win the match and post their 10
th consecutive victory over the Maccabees since 2008.
Middle hitter Kris Rodriguez paced Lehman's offense with 15 kills and eight digs, while outside hitter
Will Eschenbach notched 12 kills and 13 digs. Setter
George Montilla dished out 28 assists, along with 12 digs and four kills, while middle hitter
Jayson Rodriguez added 11 digs and four kills for Lehman.
The Lightning return to action on March 2
nd, when they travel to Kean University for a non-conference tri-match against hosts and Randolph-Macon College starting a 2 pm.
