Phoenixville, PA – The Lehman College (8-14) men's basketball defeated the University of Valley Forge (1-18) 75-63 snapping a two game losing streak.
Four players tallied double figures to lead the Lightning's balanced scoring attack.
Isaiah Geathers led the way with 16 points.
Will Feldman tallied 15 points,
Xavier Boyd 13 and
Miguel Haboosh 11. The Lightning dominated the backboard as well out-rebounding the Pioneers 37-27.
The Pioneers built up a seven point lead 27-20, 12 minutes into the game before the Lightning battled back. Lehman would end the half on a 15-2 run to take a 35-29 lead into the locker room at halftime. Hampton recorded seven of the 15 points during the spurt.
The Lightning opened the second half with a 5-0 run extending the lead to 11. After a quick three by Valley Forge, the Lightning answered with three back to back to back field goals to push the lead to double figures where it stayed the rest of the night.
The Lightning return to CUNYAC play on Saturday afternoon with a trip to Staten Island. Tip-off against the Dolphins is scheduled for 3 PM.
