Brooklyn, NY – In a predetermined non-conference game against Brooklyn (6-9) the Lightning fell in three sets by scores of 25-17, 25-16 and 25-17. With the loss the Lehman falls to 3-11.
Will Eschenbach led the Lightning with 13 kills, nine digs and a block.
Jayson Rodriguez recorded 15 assists.
In the first set with the Bulldogs leading 18-15 Brooklyn went on a 6-1 run from which the Lightning could not recover en route to a 25-17 first set victory. In the second set, Lehman jumped out to a 7-2 lead. However, the Bulldogs roared back knotting the set at 11. With Lehman leading 14-12, the Bulldogs went on a 5-0 to take a lead they would not surrender. In the third set with the scored tied at seven, the Bulldogs went on a 7-1 run to take control and never looked back.
The Lightning return to action tomorrow as they travel to Westchester to face Purchase College. First serve in scheduled for 6 PM.
