Bronx, N.Y. – The Lehman College softball team dropped both games of non-conference twin-bill to visiting Drew University (7-2, 11-0) at South Field on Wednesday. The Lightning fall to 1-9 on season, while the Rangers improve to 6-10.
Infielder
Caitlin Vernon led the Lehman offense in the opener going 2-for-3 with a run scored, while infielder
Maria Gilfilan went 1-for-4 with an RBI.
In the nightcap, the Lightning were limited to just five hits in only five innings. Infielder
Marina Delgado had two of those hits as Lehman also left six runners on base for the loss.
The Lightning return to action on March 26
th when they host a non-conference doubleheader against Yeshiva University at South Field with the first pitch set for 5 pm.
