Softball Drops CUNYAC Twin-Bill To Hunter

Bronx, N.Y. – The Lehman College softball team dropped both games of CUNYAC twin-bill to visiting Hunter College, 11-0, 9-4, at South Field on Monday.  The Lightning fall to 8-16 and 3-2 CUNYAC, while the Hawks improve to 16-9 and 9-1 in conference play.

In the opener, Lehman held Hunter scoreless for the first three innings, however in the fourth the Hawks broke the deadlock and got on the board.  Hunter continued its damage in the next two innings, while holding Lehman to just a single hit in the 11-0 victory.

Diamond Villegas went 2-for-3 with a home run and two RBI as the Lightning lost the nightcap, 9-4.

Lehman is back in CUNYAC action tomorrow (Tuesday) when it travels to York College-NY for a rescheduled game starting at 11 am.
