Queens, NY – Micaela Canapa scored her second goal in as many games to give the Lightning their first win of the season.  It was the CUNYAC opener for both teams as Lehman now stands at 1-7 overall and 1-0 in the conference.  York falls to 0-5:0-1.

The Lightning tallied in the 60^th minute when Melanie Huerta found Canapa outside the penalty box where she beat the York goalkeeper. 
The Lightning dominated in shots 21-8 as Canapa and Huerta each lead the way with six shots.

Lehman goal keeper Rebecca Gritz was credited with six saves as was Chelsea Vasquez for York. 

The Lightning return to action Wednesday evening as they host CCNY under the lights on the South Field.  Kick-off is slated for 6:30 PM.
