Bronx, N.Y. – The Lehman College women's volleyball team fell in three straight sets (11-25, 9-25, 10-25) to visiting New York University (NYU) in a non-conference match-up on Thursday evening at The APEX Main Gym.

The Lightning drops to a 2-12 overall record, while the Violets improve to 13-3 ledger.

Franchesca Acevedo led the offense for Lehman with seven kills, while Andrea Alarcon added three kills and Chrissy Tran grabbed nine digs.

The Lightning are back in action on Saturday when they travel to Allentown, Pa. for a non-conference encounter against Cedar Crest College.
