Lightning Remain Perfect Blanks Old Westbury 2-0

Old Westbury, NY - A pair of second half goals, one by Eduardo Victorio and the other by Ebenezer Otoo propelled Lehman (3-0) to a 2-0 victory over Old Westbury (0-2).

In the 66th  minute midfielder Joel Arevalo slipped a through ball in the box past the Panthers defender as Otoo's one-timer beat the Old Westbury keeper.  Six minutes later Arevalo set Victorio on a breakaway doubling the Lehman advantage. For Otoo it was his third goal in as many games for the freshman.  Victorio has a pair of goals and an assist through the first three games of the season. Earlier today, Victorio was named CUNYAC Player of the Week and Otoo was named CUNYAC Rookie of the Week.

The two Lehman net minders, Adrian Magana-Santos and Demiraldo Grunasi, shared the game and combined for their second shutout of the season. Grunasi was called upon to make a pair of saves in the second half.  Magana-Santos did not face a shot on goal.

The Lightning return to action on Saturday as they travel to Delaware to face a tough Wesley College squad.  Kick-off in Dover, DE is slated for 1 PM.
