Newark, NJ - The Lightning held their own for the first twenty minutes but the Scarlet Raiders of Rutgers Newark (1-2) proved too strong as they netted eight goals in the final 25 minutes of the first half. The New Jersey squad added four more in the second half for the final margin of victory.

The Lightning now sit at 0-3 and continue life on the road as they travel across the Bronx this weekend to face the College of Mount St. Vincent at 1 PM on Saturday.
