Bronx, N.Y. – The Lehman College women's basketball team dropped a 72-51 CUNYAC encounter to visiting Baruch College at The APEX Main Gym on Friday evening. The Lightning fall to 1-15 record and 1-5 in CUNYAC, while the Bearcats improve to 11-3 mark and 5-2 in conference play.
Lehman held its own against Baruch as it score was tied after two quarters of play (29-29). Guard
Fatomata Trawalleh and forward
Nina Gill combined for 24 points in the first stanza for the Lightning.
After the intermission, the Bearcats went on a 25 to 10 run to pull away from the Lightning and did not look back on its way to victory.
Gill ended the evening with her seventh 'double-double' of the season finishing with 23 points and 11 rebounds. Trawalleh added 17 points, while forward
Eriadna Vasquez had nine points and nine boards for Lehman.
The Lightning are back on the road next Wednesday (January 22
nd) for a CUNYAC match-up against CCNY.
