Bronx, N.Y. – The Lehman College women's basketball team will commence the New Year at home on Friday when it hosts Kean University in a non-conference match-up at The APEX Main Gym starting at 5 pm.

The Lightning (0-10) are coming off an 82-50 loss against visiting Clark University in the consolation game of the 14^th edition of Coaches vs. Cancer tournament at The APEX over the weekend.  Forward Nina Gill led the way for Lehman scoring a career-high 30 points while being named to the all-tournament team.

Meanwhile, the Cougars (8-3) open the 2020 part of their season at The APEX on Friday after posting a 71-56 victory against The College of Wooster in the consolation game of Susan Dunagan Holiday Classic in Salem, Va. this past Monday.

Kean has won eight of the last nine head-to-head encounters against Lehman since 1975.  The last previous match-up between the two sides took place on the same date one year ago (Jan. 3, 2019) at The APEX, with the Cougars winning 74-30.
