Women’s Basketball Falls To York-NY

Jamaica, N.Y. – The Lehman College women's basketball team fell in a CUNYAC encounter to hosts York College-NY, 58-16, on Friday evening.  The Lightning drop to 1-19 record and 1-9 in CUNYAC, while the Cardinals improve to 7-12 mark and 4-6 in conference play.
 
After trailing 34-4 at halftime, Lehman went head-to-head with York in the third period with the hosts taking a slight advantage with and 11-10 run.  However, the Cardinals continued their run into the fourth quarter going 13-2 to pull away for the victory.
 
Fatomata Trawalleh scored 12 points with four steals and three rebounds, while Eriadna Vasquez and Valeria Rojas each added a bucket along with nine boards for the Lightning.
 
Lehman returns to action next Tuesday when it hosts Brooklyn College in a CUNYAC match-up set for 5 pm.
