New York, N.Y. – The Lehman College men's basketball team fell by score of 70-57 to hosts Baruch College in semifinals of CUNYAC Championships on Tuesday evening at ARC Arena.
The Lightning jumped out to an eight-point (17-9) midway through the first half, however the Bearcats went on a 24 to 10 run to take a six-point advantage at the intermission.
Baruch led by as many as 15 points in the second stanza, however, Lehman battled back and cut the advantage to five points (62-57) with 2:24 remaining. Then, the Bearcats closed out the game scoring eight straight points and shutout the Lightning for the victory.

Gian Batista played every minute of the encounter (40) and scored 23 points for Lehman, while teammate
Tommy Batista added 11 points.
The Lightning conclude the season with a 16-11 overall record, while the Bearcats improve to 17-9 and will advance to the CUNYAC Championship Final on Friday against Brooklyn College, which upset John Jay College, in the other semifinal, 57-55 in overtime.
