Bronx, N.Y.  – The Lehman College women's volleyball team dropped consecutive CUNYAC matches to visiting Baruch College and Brooklyn College on Saturday at The APEX Main Gym.

The Lightning (0-10, 0-2 CUNYAC) opened the tri-match event losing three straight sets (7-25, 11-25, 10-25) to the Baruch Bearcats (5-13, 2-1 CUNYAC).  Sky Mercado had five kills to lead the Lehman offense, while Andrea Alarcon and Daira Hernandez each added four kills apiece.  Heder Rodriguez dished out 10 assists along with three digs for the Lightning.

The second CUNYAC match at The APEX had Brooklyn Bulldogs (9-7; 2-0 CUNYAC) winning in three sets (25-23, 25-20, 25-16) over Baruch.

The triangular finale had Lehman drop another three-set encounter this time to Brooklyn (11-25, 14-25, 16-25).  Alarcon sparked the Lightning offense with two kills shy of double-double as she had 8 along with 13 digs.  Hernandez also added five kills, while Rodriguez assisted on 10 kills for Lehman.

The Lightning continue its home-stand on Thursday when they welcome FDU-Florham in a non-conference match at The APEX Main Gym with first serve set for 5 pm ET.
