Box Score Hartford, CT - The Lehman College women's basketball team (0-2) came out on the wrong side of a 56-43 decision to Bard (1-1). 

Chinera Ortiz and Brianna Barnes paced the Lightning with 19 and 18 points respectively.  Lehman struggled offensively shooting 25% from the field (19-75) and only 1-17 from behind the arc. 

The Lightning found themselves down 7 (18-11) after the first period.  Bard was able to extend the lead to 14 points early in the second quarter before settling on a 32-22 lead at halftime. The Lightning scored the first eight points of the third quarter, thanks to a pair of buckets by both Ortiz and Barnes.  However, the Raptors rallied and led by five (42-37) after three.  Bard would score nine unanswered points to start the final period.  Lehman was unable to answer the surge. 

Lehman will play in the consolation game of the USJ Tip-Off Tournament at noon on Saturday against Lesley who fell to the hosts 75-42.
