Game Recap: Men's Basketball |

Lightning Top Cyclones 92-87

Gian Batista recorded his third double double in as many games in leading the Lightning (5-1) to a 92-87 road victory at Centenary (5-3).  The 92 points were a season high for the Lightning.

Batista netted 23 points, 8-13 from the field, while grabbing a career high 15 rebounds.  Isaiah Geathers also delivered another strong effort with 25 points on 10-18 shooting.  Also in double figures were Will Feldman (18 points) and Mo Idrissou (17 points).

The first half was a back-and-forth affair.  With the game tied at 17 at the 10:45 mark, the Lightning went on an 8-3 to take a five-point lead.  Lehman stretched the lead to seven, after a Batista traditional three-point play with 3:23 to play in the half.  The Lightning settled on a 42-36 advantage at the break.  The Cyclones came out of the locker room to tie the game at 49.  The Lightning took the lead for good at the 13:56 mark on an Idrissou three-pointer to give Lehman a 58-57 lead.  The Lightning extended the lead to 10, 80-70, after another Batista traditional three-point play with 5:32 to play.  The Cyclones battled back cutting the Lightning advantage to four but would not get any closer.

Lehman shot an impressive .532 from the field (33-62) and 9-22 from long range (.409).  The Lightning controlled the boards out-rebounding the Cyclones 50-40.

Lehman will travel to Sarah Lawrence on Saturday before hosting Mitchell in the APEX on Tuesday, December 14.
