Bronx, N.Y. – Despite not having any activity since Fall of 2019, the Lehman College men's soccer team continued where it left off as it extended its home-unbeaten streak, in regulation or overtime, to six games, after playing to a 1:1 draw with College of Mount St. Vincent in on non-conference action at South Field on Saturday afternoon. The Lightning go to 0-0-1 record, while the Dolphins improve to a 1-0-1 mark.
Lehman struck first in the opening nine minutes of the game when midfielder
Mohammad Jagne scored his first collegiate goal.
Mount St. Vincent battled back and just seven minutes into the second stanza got the equalizer thanks to midfielder Carlos Romero.
Both sides looked for the game-winner for the rest of the regulation and into overtime with each team testing the opposing goalkeepers as Lightning's
Demiraldo Grunasi had five saves, while the Dolphins' Joel Luna stopped six shots on goal.
Lehman now hits the road for a pair of non-conference encounters next week when it faces Kean University in Union, N.J. on Wednesday, before heading to Bronxville, N.Y. to take on Sarah Lawrence College next Saturday.
