The Lehman College women's tennis team returned to the APEX courts on Saturday afternoon to face CUNYAC powerhouse, Hunter College. In what was technically a Hunter home match, the Lightning took the #1 singles match. However, the Hawks proved too deep, winning the dual match 8-1.

Freshman Viola Avdyli won at the top singles spot, 4-6, 6-2, 6-4. The rest of the matches went the way of Hunter with senior captain Joanna Rosario dropping #2 singles 6-4, 6-1 and freshman Effie Pang falling 6-0, 6-0 at #6 singles. The loss moves Lehman to 1-4 on the season and 0-2 in CUNYAC play.

The Lightning return to action on Tuesday against Fairleigh Dickinson University. First serve is scheduled for 3:30 PM at the APEX.
