Bronx, N.Y. – Five goals by forward Ramatoulaye Diallo led the Lehman College women's soccer team to its first victory of the season after defeating visiting York College-NY, 7-2, in a non-conference encounter, at South Field on Monday afternoon. The Lightning improve to a 1-5 overall mark, while the Cardinals fall to a 0-3 record.

Esmeralda Santos Valencia opened the scoring for Lehman in the fourth minute of play off an assist from teammate Nancy Orday Tepanecatll.
Then "Rama' Diallo took over as she notched the next five Lightning goals. Diallo got her first two collegiate tallies, both unassisted, in the ninth minute and 15
th minute, respectively. The Brooklyn native got her third goal in the 30
th minute-mark, off an assist from Santos Valencia, for her first collegiate hat-trick. Diallo scored another unassisted goal in the 35
th minute, and then got her fifth tally in the 59
th minute off a pass from midfielder
Jackie Gonzalez.
After York-NY got consecutive goals in a span of three minutes (65

Miriam Bernal closed out the scoring for Lehman in 71
st minute off an assist from midfielder
Lexxis Irizarry for the 7-2 final score.
The Lightning are back in action on Wednesday (October 12
th) as they travel to Jamaica, N.Y. to face the York-NY Cardinals once again, but this time in CUNYAC play, at College Point Field with kickoff set for 3 pm ET.
