Bronx, N.Y. – For the first time since 2017-18 season, the Lehman College men's basketball team will play for the CUNYAC Championship as it takes on Baruch College in the finals at CCNY's Nat Holman Gymnasium on Friday with tip-off set for 8:30 pm ET, with the winner also earning an automatic berth to the NCAA Division III Tournament.

The Lightning (21-3), whom claimed the conference regular season title, advanced to the postseason championship game after defeating Hunter College, 122-95, in the semifinals on Wednesday at The APEX Main Gym. For the first-time all-season Lehman registered six players in double figures led by
Isaiah Geathers' 27 points.
Gian Batista scored 25, while
Will Feldman added 20 points.
Mo Idrissou,
Lennox DeGrasse and
Juan Fernandez also added 17, 13, and 10 points, respectively for the Lightning which also extended its home winning streak to 17 consecutive games.
Meanwhile, the Baruch Bearcats (19-7) secured its spot into the CUNYAC Finals after topping visiting York College-NY, 77-60, on Wednesday at the Arc Arena.
Baruch holds a 21-18 edge in the head-to-head meetings against Lehman since 2003, which includes six of the last seven encounters. The last time both sides faced off was earlier this month (February 12
th) as Batista's second 'triple-double' of the season (31 points, 11 rebounds, 10 assists) led the Lightning to an 80-76 victory against the visiting Bearcats at The APEX.
