The Lightning (8-6:6-4) took both ends of the CUNYAC doubleheader downing Brooklyn 12-5 and 14-2 to earn the series sweep of the Bulldogs.

In the first game Samantha Nazar went the distance striking out 17, and only surrendering one earned run.  Offensively, Lizbeth Perez notched four hits and scored three times.  Michelle Frias also collected four hits and was credited with seven RBIs. 

In game two, Sky Mercado pitched six strong innings striking out nine while giving up five hits and two earned runs.  Dolly Diaz collected three of Lehman's seven hits.  Doribel Duran drove in three runs, while Perez and Diaz had two apiece.
 
The Lightning return to action on Saturday as they play host CUNYAC rival Baruch.  First pitch of the doubleheader is scheduled for 12:00 PM.
