Staten Island, N.Y. – The Lehman College softball team concluded the regular season dropping CUNYAC twin-bill to hosts John Jay College, by scores of 10-2 and 16-1, respectively, on Saturday at CSI Softball Field. The Lightning fall to a 10-14 overall record and 8-12 in CUNYAC action, while the Bloodhounds improve to 15-19 mark and 12-6 in conference play.
The highlight for Lehman in the opener was an RBI triple by
Lizbeth Perez in the fifth inning as she also scored.
Doribel Duran had the other run scored for the Lightning, while going one-for-two from the plate.
In the nightcap, Perez went two-for-three from the plate, while Yaay Mboop had a run scored and went one-for-two for Lehman.
The Lightning, who are seeded fourth in the conference postseason tournament, is scheduled to take on fifth seeded Brooklyn College in a single game play-in encounter with the winner advancing to the CUNYAC Championships next weekend.
