After taking a week off, the Lightning women's tennis team got back to action this afternoon hosting a tough Yeshiva squad. The Maccabees came away with a 7-2 victory and improved to 2-2. Lehman now stands at 0-2.
Viola Avdyli teamed with
Caroline Lopez to win at first doubles 8-5. However, the Lightning dropped the other two double matches.
In singles play, Avdyli was the only Lightning player to come away with a victory. The sophomore playing in the one hole prevailed 6-1, 6-0. The other match that was competitive was the fifth singles match where Lehman's
Charlee Stallings was able to win two games in the first set and three games in the second set.
The Lightning hit the road for the first time on Thursday as they travel up to Bronxville to battle Sarah Lawrence.
