A pair of second half goals by
Ebenezer Otoo gave Lehman a 2-1 road victory over hosts Purchase. It was the Panthers first set back of the season having beaten three other CUNYAC schools in their first three outings. The Lightning improve to 2-2-2.
The Panthers got on the board first as Noah Siega found the back of the net in the 10
th minute. It was his first goal of the season. The Lightning out shot the Panthers 9-3 after the first 45 minutes.
In the 72
nd minute,
Ebenezer Otoo scored off an assist from Butrious Bah and just 100 seconds later he tallied again from an assist by
Jimmy Lopez.
Lehman out shot Purchase 19-8 and held a 13-4 advantage in shots on goal. Lehman net-minder
Demiraldo Grunasi was credited with three saves.
The Lightning are back in action on Thursday night when they travel up to Danbury, Connecticut for a match against Western Connecticut. Kick-off is slated for 6 PM.
