New York, N.Y. – The Lehman College men's basketball team posted its third consecutive CUNYAC victory after defeating hosts John Jay College, 74-67, at The Doghouse on Saturday afternoon. The Lightning improved to a 10-6 overall ledger and 4-1 in CUNYAC play, while the Bloodhounds fall to 3-13 mark and 2-3 in conference action.
After jumping out to a 40-34 lead at the intermission, Lehman held off any comeback by John Jay in the second half for the squad's third consecutive victory.
The Lightning had four players in double figures as forward
Kai Parris notched a career-high 23 points, while teammate
Isaiah Geathers posted a 'double-double' with 21 points and 17 rebounds. Forward
Lasana Camara also had a 'double-double' (12 points, 11 rebounds), while guard
Will Feldman had 10 points and six assists.
Lehman continues CUNYAC action next Wednesday (January 18
th) when it welcomes Baruch College at The APEX Main Gym with tip-off set for 7 pm ET.
