Barbara Meda led the Lehman College women's soccer team to a 3-0 blanking of visiting York College-NY, in a CUNYAC encounter, on Wednesday at South Field. The Lightning improved to a 3-5-1 overall record and a perfect 2-0 in CUNYAC action, while the Cardinals go to an 0-6 mark and 0-1 in conference play.
After scoreless first half, Lehman got on the board in the 59th minute-mark of the second stanza with a tally from forward
Lorena Ramirez off a pass from Meda.
Six minutes later, Meda notched her first goal of the game for the Lightning after she followed up a shot forward
Maria Martinez' that was saved by the Cardinals goalkeeper Naomi Alejandra Rodriguez.
Meda had her second tally of the match in the 67th minute off an assist from Martinez. Goalkeeper Ramatoulaye "Rama" Diallo was credited with just one save for the shutout victory.
Lehman continues CUNYAC action on Friday (October 13th) when it welcomes CCNY at South Field with kickoff set for 6 pm ET.
