Melanie Siranaula pace the Lehman College women's soccer team to a 7-0 victory against hosts Medgar Evers College, in CUNYAC encounter, on Wednesday at Kingsborough C.C. The Lightning go to a 4-6-1 overall record and 3-1 in CUNYAC action, while the Cougars drop to an 0-3 mark and 0-2 in conference play.
Lehman took a 3-0 lead in the opening 19 minutes of play when Martinez scored twice (1st, 9th) and Siranaula added her first (19th).
In the 27th minute-mark, Meda then added a pair of tallies within 44 seconds from each other to extend the Lightning advantage to 5-0.
After Siranaula notched her second goal of the game just before halftime (44th), midfielder
Esmeralda Santos Valencia closed out the scoring for Lehman in the 55th minute.
Goalkeeper Ramatoulaye "Rama" Diallo had just one save for the Lightning's shutout victory.
Lehman closes CUNYAC action on Saturday (October 21st) when it welcomes John Jay College at South Field with kickoff set for 1:30 pm ET.
