Melanie Siranaula scored 4 times to lead the Lehman College women's soccer team to a 5-1 victory against hosts Brooklyn College, in a CUNYAC encounter, at BC Soccer Field on Saturday. The Lightning improved to a 2-5-1 overall record and 1-0 in CUNYAC action, while the Bulldogs go to a 1-7-2 mark and 0-1 in conference play.
Siranaula notched her first tally of the game for Lehman in the 19th minute-mark off a pass from midfielder
Laura Ramos. The native of Yonkers, N.Y. added two more goals just before halftime in the 22nd and 38th minutes, respectively. Siranaula got her 12th goal of the campaign in the 61st minute.
After the Bulldogs got a penalty kick goal in the 67th minute-mark, defender
Barbara Meda closed out the Lightning with three minutes remaining off an assist from forward
Maria Martinez.
Lehman continues CUNYAC action on Wednesday (October 11th) when it hosts York College-NY at South Field with kickoff set for 4 pm ET.
