Bronx, N.Y. – A 'double-double' (14 points, 12 rebounds) from center DeAundre Manuel led the Lehman College men's basketball team to its first victory of the '23-'24 season after defeating visiting Sarah Lawrence College, 64-44, in a non-conference encounter on Tuesday evening at The APEX Main Gym.  The Lightning go to a 1-5 overall record, while the Gryphons drop to a 1-6 mark.

After Sarah Lawrence took an early lead (3-2), Lehman went on a 35 to 22 run to take a 12-point halftime lead (37-25) and never trailed after that. The Lightning continued to outscore the Gryphons in the second half, 27 to 19 for the 20-point victory.
