Bronx, N.Y. – Despite having three players scoring in double figures it wasn't enough for the Lehman College women's basketball team as it dropped its 2023-24 season opener at home, 77-51, to Montclair State University in a non-conference game at The APEX Main Gym on Wednesday evening. The Lightning go to an 0-1 record, while the Red Hawks improved to a 1-0 mark.
After a tied first quarter at 8-8, Montclair State outscored Lehman 24-17 in the second period by shooting 52 percent from the field to pull away and never trail for the remainder of the match.

Shawnasia O'Faire led the Lightning offense as she scored 14 points, while teammate Ramatoulaye "Rama" Diallo had 13 points with nine rebounds and four assists. Center Myandra "Meme" Duquesnay added 12 points and nine boards.
Lehman continues its home-stand at The APEX when it takes on Morrisville State College in a non-conference affair on Friday (November 10th) at 6 pm ET.
