Bronx, N.Y. – Forward Ramatoulaye "Rama" Diallo's 20 points, seven rebounds and five assists performance wasn't enough as the Lehman College women's basketball team lost 74-61 to visiting SUNY Morrisville, in a non-conference encounter, on Friday, at The APEX Main Gym. The Lightning go to a 0-2 overall record, while the Mustangs improved to a 2-0 mark.
After Lehman trial by 21 points (47-26) at the intermission, Morrisville outscored the hosts in the third quarter, 16 to 9, to increase its advantage to 28 points, 63-35.
In the fourth period, the Lightning went on a 26 to 11 run to cut the deficit to 13 points (74-61), however the damage was done, and the Mustangs posted the victory.
Guard
Shawnasia O'Faire added 19 points for Lehman, while center Myandra "Meme" Duquesnay had a 'double-double' with 16 points and 10 rebounds. Duquesnay also dished out five assists and grabbed five steals.
The Lightning continue its home stand at The APEX on Saturday when it welcomes Saint Elizabeth University, in a non-conference match-up, at 1 pm ET.
