Box Score New York, N.Y.  – The Lehman College women's basketball team ended its season with a 74-60 loss at Hunter College during the opening round of the CUNYAC Championships at Sportsplex on Saturday.  The Lightning concluded its campaign with a 9-17 overall record, while the Hawks go to a 15-11 and advance to the semifinals to take on John Jay College.
 
After Lehman jumped out to a 17-16 lead at the end of first quarter, Hunter went on a 17 to 12 run in the second period to take 33-29 halftime advantage.
 
The Lightning battled back in the third quarter and trailed by a basket, 51-49, going into the fourth period, however, the Hawks outscored the visitors 23 to 11 in the final 10 minutes of the game for the victory.
 
Forward Brianna Barness led the Lehman offense with 31 points, while grabbing five rebounds and steals.  Teammate Ramatoulaye "Rama" Diallo notched 16 points with eight boards and six assists, while center Myandra "Meme" Duquesnay added 10 points and five assists.
