Box Score Bronx, N.Y. - Despite 22 points by forward Brianna Barnes the Lehman College women's basketball team fell by a score of 81-69 to visiting Brooklyn College in a CUNYAC encounter on Saturday at The APEX Main Gym.  The Lightning drop to an 8-14 overall record and 4-7 in CUNYAC play, while the Bulldogs go to a 14-7 mark and a perfect 11-0 in conference action.

After Lehman took a 19-16 lead at the end of the first quarter, Brooklyn went on a 26 to 16 run in the second quarter to take a 42-35 advantage at the intermission and never trailed after that.

Forward Barbara Valentin scored 21 points for the Lightning, while Musharafa Muniru added 12 points.

Lehman returns to CUNYAC action next Wednesday (February 8th) when it hosts John Jay College at The APEX Main Gym with tip-off set for 5:30 pm ET.
