Softball Fall Twice At Saint Elizabeth

Morristown, N.J. – The Lehman College softball team lost both encounters (7-0, 9-1) of non-conference twin-bill against hosts Saint Elizabeth University at SEU Softball Field on Monday.  The Lightning fall to a 2-4 overall record, while the Eagles improved to a 5-3 mark.

In the opener, Lehman trailed 1-0 after three innings, then Saint Elizabeth scored four times in the fourth and two more in the fifth for the victory.  Infielders Jesiuka Cabral and Samantha Nazar had a base hit each for the Lightning.

In the nightcap, the Eagles scored nine times as they headed into the top of the fifth inning. Outfielder Kaycee Isley crossed home plate after infielder Nicole Lopez drove her in after a sacrifice fly for the only run by the Lehman.

The Lightning are back in action on Tuesday (March 21st) as they take a short trip, in the Bronx, to Bahoshy Field, for a non-conference doubleheader against Yeshiva University with first pitch set for 5:30 pm ET.
