Jamaica, N.Y. – The Lehman College men's volleyball team ended a seven-match losing streak as it topped hosts York College-NY in three sets (25-9, 25-8, 25-18) in a CUNYAC encounter on Thursday evening at the YC Gymnasium. The Lightning go to an 11-13 record and 5-8 in CUNYAC action, while the Cardinals drop to a 0-8 overall and conference mark.
After taking the first set, the Lehman trailed early in the second game, 2-0. However, the Lightning went on a 25 to 6 run to take the set and then later the third to claim the match.
Andrew Figueroa and
Alain Abreu Esteva had four kills each for Lehman, while
Christopher Gil notched three kills.
Christian Agudo dished out 12 assists while grabbing nine digs.
The playoff bound Lightning wrap-up the regular season next Tuesday (April 4
th) when they hosts Baruch College at The APEX Main Gym with first serve set for 6 pm ET.
