Jersey City, N.J. – The Lehman College softball team lost both encounters to hosts New Jersey City University, 8-0, 7-1, in a non-conference twin-bill on Tuesday at Thomas M. Gerrity Field. The Lightning dropped to a 4-16 overall record, while the Gothic Knights improved to a 15-23 mark.
After not scoring a run or obtaining a hit in the opener, Lehman took an early 1-0 lead in the nightcap. Outfielder
Lizbeth Perez crossed the plate for the Lightning; however the Gothic Knights tied it in the second inning and then scored six more in the third for the victory.

Kaycee Isley proved the only base hit for Lehman in the second game of the doubleheader.
The Lightning are back in action on Thursday (May 4th) when they hosts Yeshiva University in a non-conference twin-bill with first pitch set for 5 pm ET.
