Geathers Ink Pro Contract

Lehman Basketball All-American Isaiah Geathers signed a contract to play professional basketball in Australia.  

 

The former CUNYAC Player of the Year and Metropolitan Division III Player of the Year signed with the Keysborough Cougars of the Australian League.  Keysborough plays in the NBL One League.

 

In his debut, Geathers came off the bench and scored 7 points while grabbing 5 rebounds in 17 minutes of play to assist the Cougars in their 98-90 victory over Hume City.  Keysborough currently sits in 5th place in the 10 team NBL One South. 

 

"Isaiah is a versatile player that has a winning attitude. We are looking forward to welcoming him into the Keysborough family and help us on our quest for to play finals in our first season in State Championship," commented Keysborough Head Coach Nathan Vogt.

 

This past season, Geathers led the Lightning (18-9:11-3) to the CUNYAC Finals.  Besides the above mentioned accolades, the Brooklyn, native was named a 1st Team All ECAC.  He also participated in the Reece's D III All Star Game, was named an NABC All Region (National Association of Basketball Coaches) and  as well as a D3HOOPS.com All Region honoree.

 

Geathers led the Lightning averaging 21.1 points per game and ended his collegiate career as Lehman's All Time leading scorer with 1906 points which also ranks him fourth in CUNYAC history.
