Men’s Soccer Blank CCNY

Bronx, N.Y. – Two goals by forward Ebenezer Otoo led the Lehman College men's soccer team to a 4-0 victory against visiting CCNY, in a CUNYAC encounter, at South Field on Wednesday.  The Lightning improved to a 2-4 overall record and 1-0 in CUNYAC action, while the Beavers dropped to an 0-5 mark and 0-1 in conference play.

Forward Phillip Osei opened the scoring for Lehman in the 21st minute-mark off an assist from defender Abdul Mateen Aminu for a 1-0 lead.

In the second half, forward Mohamed Ali Sogoba notched his third goal of the season after a pass from midfielder Cameron Dennis in the 59th minute.

Otto made it 3-0 with a tally in 65th minute off an assist from Dennis.  Then, 14 minutes later, Otto had his second goal of the game with a pass from defender Butrious Baah for the 4-0 final.

Lightning goalkeeper Andres Barajas made just one save for his first collegiate shutout.

Lehman continues it home stand with CUNYAC action on Saturday (September 30th) when it takes on Medgar Evers College with kick off set for noon at South Field.
