Bronx, N.Y. – The Lehman College women's soccer team fell by a score of 7-3 to visiting Pratt Institute, in a non-conference game, at South Field on Wednesday. The Lightning go to a 0-4 overall record, while the Cannoneers improved to a 3-2 mark.
After Pratt took a 2-0 lead, forward
Melanie Siranaula scored her fourth goal of the season for Lehman in the 36th minute-mark. However, the Cannoneers' tallied just before halftime for a 3-1 advantage.
After Pratt increased its lead to 5-1, defender
Barbara Meda notched her first collegiate goal (70th) and assisted (71st) on forward
Maria Martinez's tally in a minute span for Lehman to make in two-goal advantage for the visitors. However, the Cannoneers scored twice in the last six minutes for the 7-3 final.
The Lightning are back in action on Thursday (September 28th) when the face CUNYAC rival and hosts York College-NY in a non-conference encounter with kickoff set for 3 pm ET.
